July school holidays found us heading to Carnarvo Gorge in Central QLD.
Along the way we had to visit the Pilliga, largest native forest west of the Divide (a bit sad) and hopefully with us for years to come.
It was so quiet, so green and so peaceful. We camped near the sculptures in the scrub, really quite good. On the way out we passed a fire tower and couldn't resist the view!

Carnarvon Gorge
Travelled via St George, Roma and Injune
Beautiful walks, nature, scenery. Around every corner there seemed to be another perfect setting.
Moss Garden, ampitheatre, Wards Canyon, art gallery, Boowinda Gorge, Cathedral Rock, Mickey Creek, Boolimba Bluff. We spent 4 nights and still only just fit everything in.
